On February 15, 2012, Pepall J. of the Divisional Court granted the motion brought by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, and quashed the application for judicial review brought on behalf of Peter Michael Deeb and Hampton Securities Ltd. Brian Gover and Fredrick Schumann successfully persuaded Pepall J. that the Court had no jurisdiction to review the decisions of IIROC, a private organization, through the judicial review procedure.
